Hi, I’m Carla, Director of Sales Development at automotiveMastermind. Like the rest of the world, we are actively monitoring the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. We at Mastermind are here to support our automotive community as much as possible during these unprecedented times. In the case your dealership needs to shift gears toward a virtual dealership model, we’ve put together tips for various departments within your dealership to help you with business continuity while keeping the safety of your customers and team in mind.
Today’s tips are for dealership management. We know you have a ton on your plate right now but your team is looking to you for support and guidance as you shift out of your comfort zones and work remotely. I’ll share these quick 5 tips so you can get underway. Number 1: Be available for virtual deal desking. Empower your team to do the same too. For a lot of dealerships this may seem out of the normal, so you set the tone and trust your team. TIp number 2: Have your usual morning meetings via video conferencing and require that all web cameras are turned on, so it feels as personable as possible.
Tip number 3: Get comfortable conducting virtual assessments for trade ins during this time. Sure you may want to verify the condition of that car or check the tires, but right now a video walk around can do the trick. Tip number 4: Don’t stop marketing. It’s critical to stay in touch with your community right now. Let’s face it, when this is all behind us you want your customers to think of you first. Lastly, tip number 5: Be positive and empathetic. Inspire your team to be solutions driven and let the positive energy radiate. We will be sharing more dealership tips through the coming weeks so be sure to check back in. Please, share additional tips for your dealership management as it relates to operating a dealership remotely. Review comments below. That’s all for us today, friends. Be safe and thank you for watching.
